We all are seeking for our prayers to be answered. In my journey of self-development, I have discovered that one way to accelerate our prayers is to increase our self-love. Allah has created us in the best form, increasing our self-love leads to us becoming incredibly magnetic and in alignment with our desires.
I see magnetism as being in flow where you effortlessly bring joy, love, and happiness into your life. The list below is a step-by-step guide to help you through so get comfy and start taking notes and follow through the activities.
Yes, holding on to something tight is unhealthy- it’s showing a lack of faith in Allah. You’re probably thinking – what? letting go of my prayers/desires. Yes, you’ve heard right, let go! Here’s the difference, I am not telling you to let go of your prayers/desires, I am telling you to drop the neediness that’s killing the life and soul out of you. Holding onto somethingtight is usually an indication of not trusting Allah. Being able to let go, and trust Allah, is also a sign of self-love. When your self-love is on point, you feel whole and complete, regardless of whether your prayers were answered or not.
Think of all the things you are passionate about. Once you’ve done that, ask yourself, what is holding you back? When we focus on following our passion, we become extremely magnetic. Imagine the dopamine that is being released, when you’re doing all the things you love. I want you to think of a time in your life, where you were doing something, you loved. Write down all the feeling and emotions you felt. It felt great right! When you’re following your passion, you’re not waiting for someone else to make you feel better as you’ve acknowledged that it is your responsibility.
Put all the energy within you. Most people live their life thinking they will only feel worthy and enough when they have achieved their outcome. This is a delusion, and the quickest way for your desires/outcomes to run away from you. Self-love is about focusing on yourself and filling up your cup.
Self-love is a deep understanding that nothing outside of you will ever complete you. One of the hadith, I love so much is, ‘I am as my servants perceives me to be’- if we don’t love, speak and see ourselves in a loving way then how can we see the love Allah has for us. Imagine you’re praying for your deepest desires, but you don’t feel worthy of it – deep down you’re not expecting Allah to answer your call. Do you see the connection!
I love Affirmations and they can be extremely powerful, but here’s where most people get it wrong. Most people just stand in front of a mirror and read out a list of affirmations. You could be staring at the mirror all day/months and years saying, ‘I am worthy’ and not feel worthy. An affirmation only works when you evoke the feeling within your heart. Next time you say out your affirmations focus on your heart and feel all the emotions.
Work through those childhood traumasby connecting with those feelings you’ve been resisting. Yes, it will feel incredibly uncomfortable, but you need to feel it to heal it, so be compassionate with yourself. Childhood traumas/memories are only holding us back. Take your power back. Here’s how you can start to heal your inner child:every day, connect with thatlittle girl inside you and tell her you love her and that she is safe.
You’re here for her and you will always protect her. If you have avoided your childhood traumas for years, tell her that you’re sorry and you’re now here for her.As the inner child starts to feel safe you will notice your heart becoming lighter, less anxious about the future, certainty and conviction in your heart felt desires will increase. Something, I find very effective is writing a love letter to your inner child and reading it out loud and feeling those emotions in your heart.
The more you practise doing this the easier it will become. My journey towards healing my inner childhood, has been so liberating and allowed me to release those emotions that are no longer serving me. If you still remember experiences from my childhood that triggers you today, try to see it as a blessing. Allah has given you awareness/insight to why you may act and behave in a certain way. Awareness is so powerful as it means you’re able to do something about it now.
Being in your body and feeling the separation between you and others makes you incredibly magnetic. When you’re constantly relying and tuning into on other people’s energy to fill you up, you’re operating on an unhealthy territory.
Neediness is an addiction. I cannot stress enough of being the most authentic version of yourself – someone who does not need other people’s validation to be themselves. If anything, you only need to validate yourself.
Becoming magnetic is about aligning with your true self and embracing self-love. By letting go, following your passions, cultivating self-love, healing past wounds, and being present in your body, you open yourself up to a life of joy, love, and fulfilment.
Remember, the journey of self-discovery and growth is ongoing, and each step you take brings you closer to becoming the most magnetic version of yourself. Embrace these practices and watch as your life transforms in beautiful ways.
